Three Big Financial Statements and three modules, makes perfect sense, right! With
modules 3 through 5, a deeper dive into each of the three primary financial statements is
presented with nothing held back. Module 3 digs into the most frequently referenced financial statement, i.e., the Income Statement, explains the all-important concept of EBITDA, and highlights its hidden dangers. Module 4 then turns our attention to the Balance Sheet, offers keen insight on how to evaluate a company’s financial strength, and discusses the key concepts of Liquidity and Solvency. Finally, we close with a detailed discussion on the Statement of Cash Flows in Module 5 and why this financial statement, above all others is the both the most neglected but the most important to understand. After mastering these three modules, you will truly understand what it means to Understand the Income Statement, Trust the Balance Sheet and most importantly, Rely on the Statement of Cash Flows!

Improve Your Business Knowledge with Powerful Financial Tools – Modules 6, 7, & 8:

With an understanding of the language of finance and the big “3” financial statements now under your belt, we can turn our attention to financial analysis or in other words, what the hell are the financial statements really saying about a company! Module 6 starts off with a detailed discussion on how the big “3” financial statements are connected and just why (yes, again) the ability to generate positive cash flow represents life or death. In module 7, we present an overview of not just the most widely used financial analysis tools but more importantly, how to use the tools to assess a company’s financial strength and performance. Finally, module 8 transitions into discussing more complex financial analysis tools related to assessing business risk, the concept of the time value of money, and other advanced topics and how these translate into influencing strategic business decisions. Yes, a little more complex and technical so slow down when digesting this information as remember, analyzing financial information is one thing but using it to make actual business decisions is an entirely different matter.
