Tracy (San Diego, California), pronounced “Tog”, of Scandinavian decent, has operated a financial consulting firm over the past 20+ years focused on providing C/executive level accounting, financial, risk management, & strategic business planning management support to private businesses, on a fractional basis. Tage specializes in providing strategic accounting and financial consulting services to businesses operating at four distinct stages including starts-up & business launches, rapid growth, ramp, and expansion management, strategic exit & acquisition preparedness & management, and turnarounds, challenged environments, & survival techniques. In addition to the various books Tage has written, he has developed an on-line course (Finance for the Non-Financial Professional) for the University of California Berkeley Extended Studies Program and continues to produce content for publications targeting small businesses. John A. Tracy (Boulder, Colorado) is professor of accounting, emeritus, at the University of Colorado in Boulder where he taught for 35 years up to his retirement in 2000. Prior to this, he was on the business faculty for four years at the University of California, Berkeley and earned his MBA and PhD degrees at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. In addition to the numerous books John has written, he has actively served on various boards, authored countless short articles, and remains active in the accounting and financial community.
